Convocation for the 103rd Batch of Computer trainees at Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Cultural Centre, Shillong

Shillong, Feb 03, 2024 –

The convocation of 103rd session of Computer Training was held on the 3rd February 2024 at the auditorium of Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Cultural Centre at 2 pm. Shri DK Prasad, Deputy Superintendent of Police(TAP), Meghalaya was the Chief guest of the programme. 

There were several categories of awards such as: Session Toppers, Best Projects, Best Personalities which were conferred upon the students. The most prestigious award Computer Gift was awarded Gardenia Chyne and Rosemary R Marak amongst all applicants each of them who completed at least 6 courses from the institute.

Shri Prasad lauded the services of Ramakrishna Mission to the society, in various fields especially during the covid period. He expressed his concern about the durg and urged upon the youth to be very alert and cautious about the trouble causing elements. The wisdom and knowledge that they gather from the institute should be shared with all.

The statistical data of the result was analyzed by Brahmachari Vairagyachaitanya, Director- Academics Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Cultural Centre who informed that there were around 582 students enrolled in the session and about 414 secured certificates of merit.

The students who topped the academics were Computer-Beginner:  Ms Ibanroilin Lawai, Computer-Intermediate Ms. Anjali Kumari, Computer – Accounting:  Ms. Khanchui Jajo, DTP (Part I): Karina Rai and Mr. Jiwanta Sinha from other expert level courses.

Earlier during the programme in his welcome address, Br Vairagyachaitanya welcomed all present for the occasion and reminded students of the pride that Swami Vivekananda brought to the country and urged them to read his life to be successful. He too spoke about the drug abuse and asked the students to inculcate positivity from the life and message of Vivekananda and spread it amongst their acquaintances.

On behalf of all teachers Shri Saurav Choudhury and Smt. Napersara Nongkhlaw had congratulated all students and advised them to continue their pursuit of learning in the field of IT.

Swami Divyaswarupananda Maharaj, Centre- In-Charge proposed the words of gratitude. Interesting glimpses of the current session that were presented earlier had been enjoyed by one and all.
