Convocation for the 101st  Batch of Computer trainees  and 40th Batch of Language Trainees at Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Cultural Centre, Shillong

Shillong, August 23, 2023 – The certificate distribution ceremony for the 101st batch of Computer Trainees and the 40th batch of Language Trainees took place today at noon at the Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Cultural Centre in Shillong.

During this event, a total of 1060 certificates were awarded to the outstanding students of the Computer Training program. Ramakrishna Mission, Shillong, annually trains approximately 6000 young individuals in Computer subjects, spread across five sessions.

The current convocation pertains to the trainees of the June to August 2023 Session, which includes around 1400 youths from various parts of the Northeastern states.

Among the accomplished students, those who achieved the highest academic positions are as follows:
• Beginner Module: Ms. Khanchui Jajo
• Intermediate Module: Mr. Surojit Medhi
• Accounting and Tally Part-I: Ms. Longmai Gashnga
• Accounting and Tally Part-II: Ms. Evangelica Barishisha Lyndem
• DTP-I , Web Designing-I & PC Maintenance: Mr. Gopi Gupta
• Database II, Web Designing II & Python: Ms. Meba-ai Shisha Syiem and Ms. Napersara Nongkhlaw
• English Language: Ms. Felisha Rapsang

These exemplary students were honored with mementoes. Additionally, Ms. Phibarisha Kurbah and Mr. Ryngkatdor Suting received prestigious computer-related gifts as awards.

In his inaugural address, Vairagyachaitanya Maharaj, Deputy in-charge of the Institute, congratulated all the students and shared Swami Vivekananda's vision of spreading goodness to humanity from village to village. Emphasizing that the institute is managed by monks and exists for the greater good, he presented an overview of the organization's activities and provided insights into the current computer training session.

The Chief Guest of the ceremony, Swami Anuraganandaji Maharaj, Secretary of Ramakrishna Mission, Sohra, commended the students for being part of an organization renowned for its unwavering and selfless services around the world. He highlighted the contributions of Ramakrishna Mission, Sohra, which has been training 12,000 students annually across 49 locations in Meghalaya for the past century.

Concluding the event, Swami Divyaswarupanandaji Maharaj, Centre-In-Charge, extended gratitude to everyone involved and echoed Swami Vivekananda's sentiments in both Khasi and English languages.
