The Institute provides drawing and painting training to children of the age group 7-15 (joining age 7-13). The courses are held on Saturdays, between 9:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. The duration of each class is of about 90 minutes. The courses are available for 4 years in a modular basis. New students are admitted every year and the selected ones are placed into groups as follows:

To get admitted, an application form has to be filled in March and a drawing test and a personal interview are held in April. Deserving candidates are allowed direct admission to higher groups. Students are formally inducted during the last week of April and the classes commence the first week of May. Each group/level has separate practical classes. The maximum numbers of students per class is 25.
Training fee has to be paid within the 2nd week of every month. It can be paid for several months together in advance. Willing students may collect drawing and painting materials from the office of the Institute by depositing a minimum amount of ₹ 200. Additional amounts have to be deposited as and when required.
A few students with exceptional talent are allowed to do internship for up to a period of 2 years. The Institute awards certificates at the end of each year's training to all successful trainees. To obtain the certifcate it is necessary to have 70% attendance and at least 40% marks.
